Why do you need a drone Table Holder/Adapter for Your Mavic Drone?
Since Mavic Pro, DJI has made the remote controller much more compact and you can easily attach your phone or small size tablet to the remote controller. But the thing is the max-length of supported mobile device size is only 160 mm (6.3 inches), that is to say, a device like iPad mini 4 or 5 is probably the largest device that can fit in the remote controller arms.
If you own a Mavic 3, DJI Air 2S, DJI Mini 2 or Mavic Air 2, the max size of supported mobile devices is even smaller, it only compatible with mobile devices that within 180×86×10 mm (Height×Width×Thickness), which means even an iPad mini 4 or 5 doesn’t fit in.
A tablet holder or adapter will enable you to mount your big-size iPad or tablet on the remote controller. It can also bring the screen up above the remote which is a much better way to fly. You can see the screen easier and be able to take better aerial photos and footage, giving you a more confident flying experience.
Using a tablet holder also allows you to easily get the best view by adjusting your phone or tablet, you don’t need to move your remote up or down so that it won’t cause any connection issue between your remote and the drone because the antenna can always be in the best angel.
Why you should trust me?
As the founder of Cut of drone, I have nearly 5 years of experience working with the world’s leading drone manufacturer DJI. During my time there, I participated in every major new product launch from Phantom 3 to Mavic 2.
I am also an experienced drone pilot, and I own a Phantom 3 Advanced, a Mavic Pro, a Mavic 2 Pro, and a Mavic Air 2.
How did we pick?
After spending 10 hours reading user reviews, talking to a few experts, compared more than 20 models, below are the criteria we used to sort out the best tablet holder for Mavic Pro / Mavic Air / Mavic 2 and Spark.
- Good Durability. You will need to attach it to your remote every time you fly the drone, so durability is one of the most important features a good holder should have.
- Sturdy. Keep your iPad or tablet stable during flying will make things much easier.
- Easy to use. A good tablet mount allows you to assemble within a few seconds, saves you a lot of time and trouble.
- Foldable & Lightweight. A lightweight holder won’t add too much weight, you will be more comfortable when holding the remote. With a foldable design, it makes things easier if you need to take it out.
- Compatibility. The sizes of iPads or tablets can range from model to model, you may also update your device. One that supports more sizes will give you more flexibility.

Cons
- The lanyard clip is a bit too tight
The Lekufee tablet holder for Mavic Air 2 and other Mavic drones really stands out for its quality. Many users commented that it’s well built, lightweight, sturdy, and holds the Mavic remote tightly. Some even said that it can last the life of his drone.
Users really liked the easiness of using this product, saying that they can mount their phone or tablet without removing the case. Quick and painless. It’s also very compact for transport, the foldable design makes it only take little space in the case. small easy and
Another thing people also liked is the attention to detail. It has a better ball joint knob than the competition. The ends of the bracket have cut-outs so your phone cord (OTG cable) can fit right in.
One thing that some users don’t like is that the lanyard was stitched reversed on one side and the clip is a little bit too tight to open all the way.
Also Great: SKYREAT Upgrade Tablet/iPad Mount Holder For Mavic
Suitable for: DJI Mavic Air 2, Mavic Mini, Mavic 2, Mavic Air, Mavic Pro, Spark
This is an upgraded version of the former SKYREAT Mavic Pro Tablet Holder. A major downside of the previous model is the plastic ring. A lot of users broke it after only 2 or 3 uses. The new one replaced the plastic ring with a metal one so it’s more secure and durable.
This bracket also uses Aluminum-Alloy as the main material. It supports 4 – 12 inches (120 mm – 190 mm) phone and tablet, allows you to adjust 45 degrees both up and down. You can attach it to your DJI Mavic Air 2, Mavic Pro, Mavic Air, Mavic 2, and Spark remote controller.
It weighs 230 g (8.1 oz), also uses a foldable design which makes it easy for store and carries.
When it comes to easy to use, it enables you to mount with 2 steps. No tools are needed.
Users commented that it’s solid and sturdy, fits well on the remote. Compared to the Lekufee Holder, this one is heavier. People also commented that the lanyard clip is cheap. These are fatal flaws, but they still have some impacts on your flying experience. That’s why we put it in the also great list.
Upgrade pick: Anbee Mavic/Spark Tablet Holder/Adapter
Suitable for: DJI Mavic Air 2, Mavic Mini, Mavic 2, Mavic Air, Mavic Pro, Spark
The Anbee Foldable tablet Stand not only supports mounting your tablet to your Mavic or Spark remote controller but also allows you to attach a DJI CrystalSky.
Like the ones we mentioned above, It’s made of Aluminum alloy which is lightweight and durable.
One thing that users really liked is the hollow-carved design for the base that mounts on the remote. It makes the holding more comfortable, you can actually grab it with your fingers.
If you are using a tablet that bigger than 10 inches, this one doesn’t fit cause it only supports phones and tablets between 3.5 to 10 inches.
There are two minor things that people don’t like. It’s a pain the first time you tighten the screws to your preference, but once you figure it out, it won’t be an issue. Another thing is you will need to dismantle your phone or tablet holder from the base every time you fly.
Tips
- If you go with this mount, you will need to buy an extension cable or a longer cable.
The competition and comparison
When we started the research, the first product we considered is the one released by DJI itself. It’s the perfect match for the Mavic and Spark remote controller. Due to the availability, we didn’t put it on our list. It’s been out of stock for quite a few months and has no confirmed available date yet.
We also checked Mavmount. It does look reliable and secure and may surprise you with some small improvements, everything else is pretty much the same, but the price is too much higher than the ones we recommended. We think the most important thing a drone tablet holder should do is to mount your iPad or Tablet.
Lifthor is made in Norway and looks more reliable, solid, and sturdy. It’s not foldable and 2 times heavier than the Lekufee which adds too much weight to the remote and is not that compact for taking out. The price is almost 4 times higher than the SKYREAT.
PGYTECH Mavic/Spark Tablet Holder is the one recommended by DJI and is even sold on the DJI official store. It’s pretty much the same as the ones we reviewed. It features aluminum-alloy and high-quality ABS material. The weight is 196 g (7 oz), it only supports up to 10.5-inch devices. The downside is that the arm that goes from the base to the holder could easily get loose after 2 or 3 times’ use, making the tablet move up and down.
DJI Mavic Air 2 Remote Controller Tablet Holder is compatible with most tablets that are 7-10 inches, it can only be used with the Mavic Air 2. If you are a Mavic Air 2 pilot, this would be the best option.
Conclusion
A drone tablet holder is a small little thing that could greatly change your flying experience. For most people, we think Lekufee Mavic Tablet Holder is the best in terms of price and quality. SKYREAT is a good alternative if you don’t like the design or color of the Lekufee.
The Anbee also works great and allows you to attach both your tablet and DJI CrystalSky, so we put it in the upgrade-pick list.
Hope this post will help you out, if you have any better recommendations, please share your thoughts by leaving a comment.
